JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer, Stationary/Fixed Equipment


Our client requires a Mechanical Engineer, Stationary/Fixed Equipment, BSME, 5+ yrs mechanical engineering experience in the refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries with a strong knowledge of pressure equipment stress analysis and application of industry standards such as ASME, ANSI, and API as they apply to design, analysis, re-rating and alteration of pressure equipment.
A broad exposure to both a variety of equipment and life cycle issues including specification, design, construction, inspection and repair is require with specialization in hot tapes and/or valves (including relief valves) is desired.  Familiarity with at least one computer program for pressure equipment design including piping flexibility analysis and have a general understanding of finite element stress analysis and a demonstrated experience in authoring technical specifications, procedures and other technical documents including the ability to function with minimal guidance and manage multiple/changing priorities across multiple sites/areas is desired. 
The Global Mechanical Engineer will function as a central Subject Matter Expert in the area of pressurized process equipment used in petrochemical and refining facilities and may also be tasked with authoring, optimizing and implementing specifications for effective inspection and repair of existing stationary equipment in the manufacturing facilities and must have technical leadership and judgment to assess complex technical issues then develop and communicate executable solutions. 
The candidate may lead one or more company-wide technology related improvement programs.
