JOB TITLE: Safety & Health Professional


Our client requires a Safety & Health Professional - BS Safety Engineer and 3+ yrs of safety engineering and/or industrial hygiene, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or refinery environment. 
The Safety & Health Professional will have demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and health regulations, familiarity with relevant industry standards and guidelines including OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and NIOSH with a demonstrated EHS technical and/or procedure writing skill. 
The Safety & Health Professional will support the development, implementation and assessment of the Texas Plants’ safety systems which will include but not limited to the assessment of plant safety needs, development of practical, effective solutions to those needs, aiding the implementation of solutions (including training) and assessing the effectiveness of the solutions, research and summarize federal safety regulations and consensus industry standards, provide guidance related to health and safety issues, interact and work with the production, maintenance and engineering departments to provide technical support related to regulatory compliance and the development of practical solutions related to safety, industrial hygiene, training, fire protection emergency management, and recordkeeping, develop a strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices and assistance in the assurance that the facilities comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
