JOB TITLE: Safety Instrumented Systems Engineer


Our client requires a Safety Instrumented Systems Engineer, BSEE, 2-5 yrs experience in performing general instrumentation controls and/or process engineering and competent in standard Microsoft Office products to provide system engineering support for projects for the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries under direct supervision. 
The Safety Instrumented Systems Engineer essential duties will include providing consulting and engineering services in support of Safety Instrumented Systems and Basic Process Control Systems, participate in Layers of Protection Analysis, develop SIS conceptual designs including Safety Integrity Level calculations, develop safety requirements specifications, cause and effect diagrams, and functional test plans, develop functional requirement specifications, support proposal development, design and specify control system hardware and software and field equipment and instrumentation, program safety and control systems. 
Basic Process Control Systems (BPCS) can include:  Siemens PCS7, ABB 800XA, Honeywell Experion, Foxboro IA, Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell Controllogic – will analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, communicate any reason for issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to project management.
