Senior Environmental Engineer

 

 

Our client requires a Senior Environmental Engineer, BSChE, 10+ yrs refining or petrochemical experience with an understanding of state and federal environmental regulations applicable to petroleum refining, comprehends environmental laws and their relationship to refining operations, experience with permitting procedures, auditing, and compliance, experience with Title V air permitting, working knowledge of environmental analytical methods, ability to communicate easily with a wide variety of audiences including management as well as external vendors, demonstrating strong customer service skills, and effective and efficient PC skills to include Excel, Access, and Word applications. 
The Senior Environmental Engineer will service as the Subject Matter Expert in the Clean Air Act regulations and air permitting requirements.  This position is primarily responsible for obtaining, coordinating and managing the site’s environmental air permitting activities (PBR, NSR, PSD, Title V etc.) including but not limited to review of air permitting applications for submission to regulatory agencies.
This includes evaluating compliance issues and developing compliance plans and permitting strategies to resolve.  The Senior Environmental Engineer must have the ability to function in a team setting, train plant personnel on permit requirements and participate in regulatory agency refinery inspections, and be involved in Title V certification process including the reasonable inquiry process and associated documentation.
