Process Control Engineer

 

Our client requires a Process Control Engineer, BSChE REQUIRED with a minimum of 10 years experience and will be an integral part of the Process Engineering group implementing and supporting automated solutions that will drive the successful execution of process control strategic initiatives – control systems compliance with regulated codes and standards, ensuring plant assets and infrastructure are in reliable and supportable condition, identifying and implementing solutions to optimize plant assets. 
The responsibilities of the Process Control Engineer will include design, develop and implement process controls and automation projects involving automation systems and PC network technologies (DCS, PLC, Safety Systems, Data Acquisition systems, APC), assist with the development and implementation of standard engineering practices regarding DCS alarm management and safety system best practices, optimize and automate plant controls via automation techniques (loop tuning) and Advanced Process Control applications with a focus on improving facility cost-effectiveness and plant production capacity, APC project role consisting of technology evaluation, process modeling design, engineering control specification, implementation and on-going maintenance of application, position is required to work with plant management, engineers, and contractors and to provide expert guidance , leadership and assistance to facility Control Systems Specialists. 
The Process Control Engineer must have a proven record leading process control projects through design and field implementation, knowledge of process manufacturing field instrumentation, technology and processes, possess a high level of technical accuracy and a deep understanding of process control schemes and process unit equipment (distillation, pump/compressor, etc.), and a comprehensive proficiency for developing, defining and implementing instrumentation and control strategies around automation and safety systems.
