Process Engineer


Our client requires a Process Engineer, BSChE, 2-5 yrs years of experience in chemical manufacturing with particular knowledge of the hazards encountered in a process unit and can work effectively with relevant computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access, SAP, InstruCalc, Aspen Tech, Yokogawa CS3000 DCS and Visual Basic, read, analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures codes, drawings, and governmental regulations and an ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Individual will solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  The Process Engineer’s main role is to carry out process design projects and support the plant on a daily basis. 
Support includes troubleshooting existing problems, assisting the production superintendent and maintenance manager and assist in closing accounts at the end of the month and should be creative at all times and act as motor for change and improvement.  Responsibilities include support manufacturing day-to-day activities, trouble shoot problems to ensure safe production of product, conceive money savings projects, design and progress such projects, drive and assist HSE activities at all times, interact with maintenance to ensure equipment maintenance is scheduled appropriately to ensure safe and proper operation of the plant, work on special projects (PHA, technical support for new market/application development, month-end reconciliation of raw material and utilities for the manufacturing area and tabulation daily product production, perform DCS support as needed).  Work with lab to follow analytical results and to help lab with technical interface problems.
