Environmental Manager


Our client requires an Environmental Manager, BSChE, Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 15 years experience in a refinery/chemical plant engineering/environmental role, with at least five years of experience in an environmental role with Texas facilities and dealing with Texas Regulatory Agencies, well verses in EPA and TCEQ air, waste water and solid waste compliance for the petroleum refining industry  with experience conducting environmental audits and related implementation of compliance programs. 
The Environmental Manager will be responsible for overseeing the refinery’s environmental compliance efforts, managing all regulatory aspects of environmental programs (including the Title V Air compliance program), maintaining and improving the refinery’s environmental data management systems and providing guidance to management, operations and engineering.  The Environmental Manager will report directly to the company refinery manager and maintain communication and coordination with Corporate Environmental Vice President and will be a key member of the company leadership team and guide efforts to maintain the company’s compliance with environmental laws, rules, and regulations and be the company’s key environmental regulatory compliance resource. 
The Environmental Manager will oversee the refinery’s Title V air certification program, establish environmental goals and objectives for the refinery as well as manage and direct activities for the company’s environmental programs, including air regulatory compliance, waste management, remediation, CERCLA and EPCRA reporting, TSCA, asbestos management, wastewater water reporting and environmental training.    He/She will provide training and other technical support to ensure environmental compliance and continuous improvement efforts are maintained, ensure professional success and development of the environmental staff, evaluate staff performance and mange department budget.
