Environmental Specialist - Air

 

Our client requires an Environmental Specialist - Air, BSChE, with at least 5+ yrs of experience with federal, state, and local environmental air legislation, regulations and their applications with previous experience in a chemical manufacturing plant environment.   The Environmental Specialist will manage and interact with all site functions as necessary to insure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, policies, standards, procedures and mandates and assist other sites to accomplish the same, manage all daily air environmental needs of the site in a way that achieves compliance and supports Manufacturing Excellence goals, monitors and interprets changes or additions to air related federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations, company policy, industry standards and/or good management practices. 
The Environmental Specialist will coordinate resources needed to develop compliance plans that support long and short term business objectives, steering operational or administrative changes as necessary to meet new compliance demands, assist site engineering functions as well as the Corporate Technology Group in assessing regulatory demands applicable to new process technology or equipment in the project engineering or development phases and be responsible for all environmental regulatory audits and inspections responds to alleged violations and fines and manages all daily environmental needs of the site in a way that achieves compliance and support Manufacturing Excellence goals.
