DCS Control Engineer

 

Our client requires a DCS Control Engineer, BSEE with 5-7 years experience in a chemical manufacturing environment with 5 years designing and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Systems and Distributed Control Systems whose general purpose will support, maintain, and drive improvement in all aspects of DCS/PLC and Process Controls work management systems and provide technical assistance with Control Strategies, Electrical Distribution Safety and Maintenance, Control Valve Sizing and Flow Meter Calculations. 
The DCS Control Engineer will manage the installation, maintenance, configuration and repair of the various systems used in the operation and control of the manufacturing processes on the site, champion continuous improvement for the electrical and instrument facilities in the areas by initiating improvement programs, submitting capital projects for approval and preparing cost work orders. 
The DCS Control Engineer will ensure site safety, health and environmental standards and initiatives are in compliance and followed at all times, serve as technical resource for electrical and instrumentation capital projects, provide programming support for PLCs and Emerson Delta V DCSs, and assist mechanics in troubleshooting equipment controlled by PLCs and DCS.
