Project Mechanical Engineer (Senior)


Our client requires a Project Mechanical Engineer (Senior), BSME and 10-15 yrs in a chemical plant or refinery project/consulting environment with project and design experience with equipment and instrumentation typically found in a chemical plant whose role is the Project Mechanical Engineering contact for the overall coordination of Mechanical design related to activities for a new Ethylene Oxide and Ethylene Glycol Plant and will be responsible for reporting on project progress to management as required, ensuring all design data is captured and recorded correctly and accurately, review design information and vendor data for accuracy and ensuring compliance with internal and industry drawing standards, provide coordination and integration as appropriate with the existing complex. 
The Project Mechanical Engineer will be supporting the project team by ensuring adherence to best practices, and industry standards and providing engineering, procurement, and construction contractor oversight related to the design, construction, and startup of a new ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol manufacturing facility. 
The Project Mechanical Engineer will have a proven track record as a mechanical engineering specialist for projects or in operating chemical process plants or refineries and will actively support all SHE policies, provide technical support and leadership, analyze process configurations, equipment designs and optimization, provide mechanical design guidance and technical leadership for various industrial scale unit operations, heat transfer, steam & power generation, distillation, effluent treatment systems, & utilities, helps define required spare parts for equipment, serve on HAZOPs and other PSM reviews and provides troubleshooting and assistance for mechanical problems with experience specifying and maintaining rotating equipment and may be required to develop operating envelopes, define condition monitoring tasks, take and maintain baseline vibration signatures, and evaluate oil analysis results. 
Experience using Bently Nevada Data Manager of System One Software, experience with centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol process, design and/or operating experience.
